WELCOME...
To our online programme
In our mission to throw a sustainable fashion show, we have decided to have our programme in an online format to help reduce paper waste!
Here you can follow the show through your program so you know what to expect and when.
We have picked some of the best local brands, all doing their bit for the planet and reducing the waste caused by fast fashion. For our high-street retailers, we have picked ones that have sustainable ranges and are making adjustments within their business to use more eco-friendly and recyclable products.
Thank you so much for coming, and enjoy the show!
Our Charity
Cash for kids
"Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK.
Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
We work with grass-roots organizations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.
Collectively Cash for Kids raised £20.4 million across the UK in 2022, supporting 489,409 children."
Big thank you to the Cash for Kids Dundee Charity Manager Claire Anderson for meeting with us and promoting the event on social media

PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Plastic Fantastic is an exhibition of garments inspired by the V&A’s recent exhibition, Plastic – Remaking Our World, created by Dundee & Angus College HND students. 13 - 21st May 2023 -
listed What's on here >> https://www.vam.ac.uk/dundee/whatson/events/plastic-fantastic
These garments were designed using the Subtraction Pattern Cutting Technique. This method of “hollow construction” was created by fashion designer Julian Roberts and makes the most of the negative spaces that can be opened up in fabric resulting in experimental garments that break the boundaries of the usual garment shapes.
Students were set a design brief to create a subtraction dress using recycled and unusual fabrics, including plastic with some using a sewing machine for the first time. Each garment contains a personal message, often using stitch as vehicle to make their voice heard.
A special thank you to the students and lecturers of the Hair and Beauty department at Dundee and Angus College for their efforts and time spent creating some of the looks for tonights show
